Vineyard Operator

The Randall Wine Group has significant vineyard holdings across a number of premium grape growing regions in South Australia.

Opportunities have become available for experienced and developing Vineyard Operators to join our Seppeltsfield Vineyard team in the Barossa Valley. Our Vineyards are home to world class wines, and this is your opportunity to be a part of the story, and to be a part of something big.

About the Position

As an Operator, you’ll play an important role in growing premium wine grapes destined for high-quality wine production. If you enjoy working outdoors, being part of a hands-on team, and working in a beautiful vineyard setting, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

You’ll be involved in all aspects of grape and vine production throughout the season, including vine planting and training, trellis repairs and maintenance, machinery operation, and the highlight of the vineyard calendar – Vintage – when the grapes are harvested and the winemaking journey begins.

Key requirements of the role (or willingness to learn):

  • Experience in vineyard machinery and equipment operation
  • Vineyard maintenance operations such as trellis, irrigation, and property maintenance
  • Agrochemical handling, mixing and application
  • Ability to follow work, health and safety practices and procedures

About You

You will be enthusiastic and hardworking with a genuine interest in all aspects of viticulture and wine grape growing operations. You will be able to work well in a team and be respectful of people, land and equipment.

Requirements

  • Valid Australian driver’s licence (essential)

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Previous training such as Certificate 3 in Wine Grape Growing
  • ChemCert training
  • High-Risk Licence

In Return We Will Provide You With

  • Training and support
  • Competitive terms and a wine allowance (after completing 12 months of service)
  • An experienced team to work with and learn from
  • An opportunity to be part of a large and successful wine group
  • Career development opportunities across the Group if you want them (we love people who want to develop, but we equally love those who are happy doing their job well each day).
