The Company
Murdock Viticulture & Advisory is a boutique company, specialising in premium vineyard development and management. Murdock Viticulture currently manages agricultural assets throughout South Australia.
A Vineyard Operators position has become available within our viticulture operations in the Barossa Valley, South Australia.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Vineyard Manger, you will play an active part in all viticulture operations including machinery, fungicide and herbicide applications, and monitoring irrigation systems.
You will also be involved in facilitating spray, fertiliser and pruning programs and assisting in maintenance activities. The successful candidates will assist in general work plans and have exposure to supervision of contractors, and be actively involved with our HSE practices.
Selection Criteria Essential
- Current Drivers’ License.
- Chemical Certificate and Forklift Licence (highly desirable)
- Sound working knowledge of machine operation technology as well as hands on experience in vineyard procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Highly regarded
- Sound judgement and decision making skills
- Ability to lead by example and positively influence a team
- Well organised and ability to coordinate multiple activities
- AQF level 2+ or other industry certification
Remuneration & Benefits
The successful applicant will be offered a competitive salary dependent on previous experience and qualifications. Other employee benefits will be negotiated with the successful candidate.
