Harvest and Production Team Member

April Sun Farms is at the forefront of Australia’s emerging vertical farming industry. We are seeking motivated Harvest and Production Team Members to join our new facility in Melbourne, Victoria.
We are focused on developing innovative growing techniques while delivering high-quality herbs, microgreens and edible flowers through efficient, sustainable production systems.

No previous vertical farming experience is required, as full training will be provided. However, candidates must have forklift experience, a current forklift licence and a full driver’s licence.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare production areas for daily and weekly seeding, growing and harvesting activities.
- Prepare tools, equipment and materials required for production tasks.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene across propagation, growing, harvesting and packing areas.
- Assist with seeding, harvesting, packing and general crop production activities.
- Follow procedures and instructions to ensure product quality, food safety and workplace safety standards are maintained.
- Support production planning and scheduling to ensure targets are met.
- Work cooperatively with employees, supervisors and contractors to maintain a productive and respectful work environment.
- Assist with the production of high-quality herbs, microgreens and edible flowers.
- Work across a 7-day roster, including Saturdays and public holidays as required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Current forklift licence.
- Demonstrated forklift experience.
- Full driver’s licence.
- Availability to work across a 7-day operation, including weekends and public holidays.
- Ability to follow procedures, instructions and workplace safety requirements.
