Utility Arborist

Infrastructure Vegetation Management Services (IVMS) Australia was established in 2018 and is primarily responsible for vegetation management in proximity to overhead powerlines in the NT. We deliver high quality Contract Management services to a range of clients and provide a positive and secure work environment.
Work Location
Based in Darwin with travel throughout Northern Territory.
Pay and Conditions
Salary $66,000-$83,000 pear year with travel allowances and overtime additional.
Job Description
Applicant requires the qualifications and ability to perform vegetation maintenance in proximity to overhead powerlines. Additional training can be provided.
Applicants will require a positive and respectful attitude towards safety in a team environment. The ability to maintain machinery and a basic understanding of the overhead power network is desirable. You will be joining an experienced team and work will take you to all parts of the NT.
Daily duties may include:
- Pruning of vegetation in proximity to powerlines
- Operation of Chainsaws
- Tree felling and removal
- Operation of EWP or Climbing
- Operation of Woodchippers
- Interpretation and collection of ArcGIS data
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum MR drivers’ licence
- Licence to perform high risk work (EWP)
- Chainsaw license
- OH&S White Card
- Certificate III Arborist
- ESI II in Powerline Vegetation
- First Aid
- Traffic Control
