Turf Farm Hand

We’re a family-run turf farm in Boyland looking for a capable, experienced farm hand to join our small crew.
This is a hands-on role that involves operating tractors and specialised heavy machinery, helping grow and harvest turf, manual tasks, and maintaining farm equipment. If you’ve worked in agriculture or turf farming before, have the right to work in Australia, and you’re confident behind the wheel of a tractor and heavy machinery—you’ll fit right in.
About the Role
- Full-time, Monday to Friday (some longer days in peak season – up to 50 hrs/week)
- Duties include turf maintenance, tractor/machine operation, harvesting, and irrigation
- Outdoor work in all weather
- Pay based on your experience and skills
You’ll Need To:
- Have the right to work in Australia
- Have experience working in agriculture in Australia (turf farming preferred)
- Be confident operating tractors and heavy farm machinery (preferred)
- Be physically fit and capable of manual work
- Have a current driver’s licence (forklift ticket is a bonus)
- Be reliable, able to follow direction, and work well in a small team
Your Day Might Involve:
- Harvesting turf in our Firefly harvester and loading turf onto trucks
- Mowing, fertilising, and spraying turf paddocks
- Checking irrigation and paddock conditions
- Spotting and reporting issues early
- Cleaning and maintaining machinery
We’re not looking for:
- Fruit pickers
- Short-term travellers
