Tree Worker / Ground Crew

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Ground Crew to join our business in the Macedon Ranges (based in New Gisborne) or Melbourne’s Northern Suburbs (Campbellfield, Attwood, Tullamarine etc.).
Remuneration
- $25 – $33 per hour (+ Super), based on age, experience and qualification
- Part time and full time positions available.
The role and key responsibilities
- Assisting climbers and arborists during tree works
- Operating and feeding wood chippers safely
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe worksite
- Assisting with rigging and lowering operations
- Using chainsaws and other equipment safely and correctly
- Completing daily equipment and vehicle checks
- Setting up and packing down traffic management and signage
- Managing ropes, tools and ground operations for climbing crews
- Loading and unloading trucks, equipment and machinery
- Assisting with stump grinding and site clean up
Necessary qualifications and skills
- Medium rigid truck licence would be advantageous
- Relevant industry licences, tickets and tree ground crew experience would be highly advantageous i.e chainsaw ticket/certification, traffic management, EWP licence, experience operating chippers and stump grinders, first aid, white card.
