Qualified Greenkeeper
Brookwater Golf & Country Club, Queensland’s number 1 ranked golf course, is recruiting an experienced Qualified Greenkeeper/Groundsman. You will work with the Superintendent and other Maintenance Team staff to constantly improve the golf course, club grounds, maintenance facility and safety programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general green keeping duties as instructed by Course Manager
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of all machinery, including mowing equipment
- Assist with set up of Golf Course for completion of competition rounds and general play
- Bunker, rough, fairway and general Golf Course maintenance
- Pest identification
- Irrigation system maintenance and management
- Application and handling of chemicals
- Develop knowledge of the mechanical, hydraulic and electrical components used on course
- Ensure personal protective and safety equipment is worn as prescribed and required
- Continue personal and professional education through attending training, self-development and turf education conferences
About You
- Sports turf management certificate or equivalent
- Self-motivated and dedicated team player
- Ability to work well within a team or individually
- Demonstrated ambition and a desire to grow within the company
- Available for rotating rostered weekend shifts (5am till 9am only)
- Awareness of problems that may be compromising the maintenance of the course in accordance with the Turf Management Plan, Environmental Policy, and Occupational Health and Safety Policy
