Turf Farm Operations Coordinator

Join an established and growing turf farm in the Clarence Valley. Clarence Valley Turf is part of a network of 43 LSA turf farms across Australia, offering a strong, supportive industry community and genuine opportunities for growth. We run Tyagarah Turf in conjunction to Clarence Valley Turf.

We’re looking for a motivated, reliable, and hands-on Operations Coordinator to help take our farm to the next level. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, suited to someone who enjoys early mornings, working outdoors, and leading from the front.

You’ll be joining a close-knit crew who enjoy what they do—we work hard, have a bit of banter, and value a positive team culture. The right attitude and leadership approach are just as important as your experience.

About the Role

This is a key position responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the turf farm. You’ll oversee workflow, lead staff, and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily farm operations including harvesting, maintenance, irrigation, and delivery preparation
  • Assign tasks and provide clear direction on daily priorities and expectations
  • Lead, support, and coordinate staff throughout the day
  • Monitor workflow and adjust schedules to meet operational demands
  • Conduct regular site walk-throughs to track progress and address issues
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
  • Assist with planning and scheduling turf orders, deliveries, and installations
  • Carry out hands-on tasks including harvesting, mowing, turf laying, and general maintenance
  • Manage spraying and chemical application (or willingness to be trained)
  • Maintain records of daily activities, staff attendance, and job completion
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members
  • Liaise with management regarding workloads, timelines, and any operational challenges

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong work ethic and a reliable, responsible attitude
  • Leadership skills with the ability to coordinate and motivate a team
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on outdoor work
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Good communication and problem-solving ability
  • Confidence handling chemicals safely (or willingness to learn)
  • Enthusiastic, positive, and keen to develop new skills
  • Previous experience in turf, agriculture, or a similar industry is highly regarded but not essential

What We Offer

  • Full-time, stable employment
  • Immediate start
  • On-the-job training and development opportunities
  • Supportive, down-to-earth team environment
  • The opportunity to be part of a large, knowledgeable network of turf farms across Australia
