Wildwood Nursery is currently looking for reliable and motivated full-time nurseryperson to join our growing team.
Key Duties
- Germinating seeds, taking cuttings, grafting, and budding plants.
- Watering, fertilising, pruning, spraying for pests and diseases.
- Adjusting light, temperature, humidity, and soil conditions as needed.
- Selecting and packing plants for wholesale or retail distribution.
- Transplanting seedlings and plants into pots or garden beds.
- Using tools like sprayers, irrigation systems, tractors, and forklifts.
- Repairing greenhouses, shade houses, irrigation systems, and fencing.
- Keeping records of plant batches, propagation methods, and treatments used.
- Advising customers on plant care, selection, and landscaping tips.
Skills and Experience Required
- Relevant qualification or minimum of 1 year of work experience as a Nurseryperson.
- Plant propagation and care – seeding, grafting, pruning, pest control.
- Irrigation and fertiliser management – maintaining plant health.
- Equipment operation – using tools like potting machines, sprayers.
- Record-keeping and organisation – labelling, stock control, task planning.
- Teamwork and physical stamina – working outdoors, following safety procedures.
