Nursery Assistant (Tissue Culture Technician)
We are currently looking for a part-time / casual Nursery Hand Assistant for 15 – 20 hours per week.
Duties
- Managing supplies of clean glassware and supplies;
- Assisting with preparation of growth media;
- Plant tissue culture;
- Managing nursery plants;
- General operational duties (cleaning, ordering supplies, etc); and
- Autoclaving.
Key Selection Criteria
Candidates must demonstrate:
- Ability to follow instruction;
- Ability to work in an efficient manner with minimal supervision;
- Ability to work in a team;
- Attention to detail in all aspects of work;
- Ability to lift 15-20kg;
- Reliability; and
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
