Irrigation Technician
As Adelaide Oval Turf Solutions (AOTS) continues to grow, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Irrigation Technician to join us!
Adelaide Oval Turf Solutions (AOTS) brings the Adelaide Oval team and its unparalleled expertise and high-quality workmanship to sporting grounds, clubs and community spaces across South Australia and beyond.
Reporting to the AOTS Operations Manager and working closely with the Irrigation Manager, you will play a key hands-on role in delivering irrigation projects and ongoing system maintenance across multiple sites. You’ll be responsible for overseeing and running day-to-day projects across elite sporting grounds, clubs and community spaces.
This position is not solely based at Adelaide Oval; travel will be required.
What you’ll be doing
- Assist with the installation, operation, and maintenance of irrigation systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair irrigation components, including pumps, valves, sprinklers and controllers.
- Liaise with external stakeholders and clients within the budget framework.
- Work with the Irrigation Manager to quote, tender and price projects.
- Assist in the planning and installation of new irrigation systems as needed.
What you need for this role
- Sound knowledge of irrigation systems, controllers, and water-efficient practices.
- Relevant trade qualifications or higher (this may include Cert III Horticulture or Sports Turf Management).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach and commitment to high-quality service.
- A current driver’s licence.
- A current HR licence or willingness to obtain.
- A White Card, or ability to obtain.
- Ability to use computer systems such as Microsoft Office and app-based systems.
