About Us

Tasmanian Berries is an innovative, family-owned berry business located in Exton in Central Northern Tasmania. With three sites spanning 50 hectares, we specialise in hydroponically grown strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, and blueberries of premium quality for the Australian domestic market.

We’re proud of our people-first culture and our commitment to quality, sustainability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

This is a dynamic and hands-on role where no two days are the same – your key responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee daily irrigation and fertigation operations across all farm sites
  • Lead the setup, maintenance, and continuous improvement of irrigation systems
  • Design and implement irrigation solutions for new growing areas
  • Plan and coordinate preventative maintenance programs
  • Lead and support irrigation team members, ensuring safety and efficiency standards are met
  • Maintain accurate records of water usage, system performance, and maintenance activities

We are looking for someone who is

  • Technically skilled in modern irrigation and fertigation systems (experience with Priva highly regarded)
  • A confident leader who can manage and support a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Practical and solutions-focused, with strong mechanical aptitude
  • Comfortable using digital monitoring systems and irrigation automation platforms
  • Reliable, organised, and proactive in their approach

Highly regarded (but not essential)

  • Experience in hydroponic or protected cropping systems
  • Trade qualification or diploma in Irrigation, Horticulture, or Agriculture
  • Previous experience managing large-scale irrigation systems

Why Join Us?

  • Full-time role with immediate start
  • Company vehicle provided for work and personal use
  • Opportunity to contribute to a growing and progressive agricultural business
  • Supportive, team-focused culture

How to Apply
