Field Officer

We grow, harvest, pack and market citrus, pome fruit, table grapes, stone fruit and kiwifruit from our farms across QLD, NSW, VIC and WA. Our vision is to be the producer of the world’s most desired fruit – that means we’re passionate about having the right people in the right roles.

About the Role

Redland recently acquired the licence for the Dori variety of gold kiwifruit and is now launching the Dori program across South West WA. This role provides technical and logistical support across the initiative, with a focus on high-quality data collection, post-harvest maturity sampling, and structured documentation. The role is part of Redland Premium Fruit’s technical program and works under the guidance of the Group Agronomic Innovation Manager. This role requires frequent travel to grower sites across South West WA.

Role Responsibilities

  • Collect and assess fruit samples to monitor maturity, quality and crop development.
  • Conduct field measurements including bud, flower and fruit counts, along with fruit sizing and yield forecasting activities.
  • Perform laboratory testing and accurately record data to support production and quality decisions.
  • Monitor fruit quality through storage and post-harvest, identifying and reporting any emerging quality issues.
  • Assist with research and development trials by collecting data and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support growers with field sampling, crop monitoring and technical extension activities.
  • Coordinate sample collection, transport and tracking between orchards, growers, laboratories and packhouses.
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality and compliance while working collaboratively across orchard, laboratory and packhouse teams.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in horticulture, agriculture, quality assurance, laboratory work or a similar hands-on operational role (or a willingness to learn).
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately.
  • Confident using spreadsheets and digital systems to record and manage data.
  • Able to work independently, manage priorities and communicate effectively.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with growers and operational teams.
  • Physically fit for outdoor field work and manual handling tasks.
  • Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites.

Why Work With Us

At Redland, our values drive us — from making things happen to winning as a team. You’ll be part of a supportive, professional environment where your expertise is valued and your ideas for improvement are heard. We offer competitive pay, opportunities for growth, and the satisfaction of working for a business that produces fresh, high-quality products enjoyed across the world.
