Farm Worker
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work and can confidently work both independently and as part of a small team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating tractors and other farm machinery
- General machinery and equipment operation
- Orchard maintenance
- Slashing and general property maintenance
- Assist with harvest preparations and operations
- General labouring and manual handling
- Working safely and efficiently around machinery and equipment
- Following instructions and completing tasks independently
- Supporting the wider farm team as required
About You
- Previous farm or agricultural experience
- Confident operating tractors and farm machinery
- Can work independently and use initiative
- Reliable, punctual and takes pride in their work
- Has a forklift license or is willing to get one
- Strong work ethic and willingness to get stuck in
- Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
- Good attention to detail and follows safe work practices
- Holds a current driver’s license
About Us
Torrens Valley Orchards is a family-owned and operated cherry orchard in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. Our harvest season may only last 3 months, but we are busy year round. The role will help support the harvest and other projects we have on during the year.
