Climbing Arborist
Join Active Contracting Pty Ltd as a Climbing Arborist based at our Adelaide office, working across metropolitan and rural areas in South Australia.

What Is the Role?
Working as part of a tight-knit workshop team, this position will be responsible for ensuring efficient and safe trimming or removal of trees within the scope of the work through safe climbing techniques and Elevated Work Platforms (EWP).
Duties and responsibilities for this position are including, but not limited to:
- Ensure thorough inspections to determine if any precautions or special techniques are required and assess if the tree/s is safe to climb.
- Perform safe and competent climbing using approved rope safety harness and appropriate climbing techniques.
- Where appropriate, utilise an EWP to conduct tree trimming and vegetation management using appropriate safety gear
- Remove dead and decaying trees, and grinding out tree stumps
- Clear trees from overhead electricity and telecommunications lines
- Ensure all debris is cleared from job site
- Conduct pre-start checks and Job Safety Assessments (JSA’s) when conduct all works on site
This full-time position offers a salary of $75,000-$85,000 plus superannuation per annum.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Need to Have
- Relevant Cert 3 or 4 qualification and 1 year of full-time work experience, or 3 years of work experience in lieu of qualifications
- Knowledge in tree maintenance and vegetation management
- The ability to work safety in accordance with safety policies and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
